A twelve chapter movie serial from director Ford Beebe and featuring John Wayne, in the first of three serials he did, this was an experience!
Twelve action packed episodes around a story of a mysterious figure called the Eagle who is blackmailing a corporation over a stolen invention and using threats in a plane writing messages in the sky. The sky writing is amazing, perfect writing which does not fade away!!!
The movie has many car chases, fights, action galore and several scenes of people saying "I know who it is it is" - BANG!!! and someone shoots them as they are about to reveal the truth.
It is very funny, in a good way, even though it is not a comedy, and was enjoyable to watch, with some great characters, although two of them (the strong man and the little man) disappear near the end never to be seen again!
All up it was a lot of fun watching this, not a brilliant movie but very nice!
