You go and purchase a packet of cigarettes, and there on the pack in plain writing is a warning - Cigarettes are bad for your health, cigarettes are addictive, cigarettes cause heart disease, etc. Rightly so, an addictive, poisonous substance should have warnings on the package. So the question is - why didn't this movie have similar warnings on its package?
This movie is total rubbish!! It would have to go down as one of the worst movies of all time.
The original title was Drifter: Henry Lee Lucas it was changed to the new title for the Australian DVD release, it is based on the story of Henry Lee Lucas, confessed serial killer of hundreds of people, and confessed liar. Did he kill? Apparently some people but really, this movie does not give a great deal of illumination on anything it just sets out I think, to rot your brain, and goers close to succeeding.
This was rented as one of the thirty two new releases at Video Ezy in May 2010 and sometimes when you hire a movie you know nothing about you get a pleasant surprise of how good it is (American Violet, Franklyn) but other times you realise how bad some movies actually are, and this along with Serious Moonlight and American Virgin are at the bottom of the barrel.
The problem is this makes those two movies look brilliant it is simply a disgusting movie with no redeeming features at all and they would be well advised to take every copy and make a bonfire out of them, at least then the movie would have contributed something beneficial to someone in society.
This is the worst movie I have seen in a long time, and that is saying something!
