Mario Van Peebles makes his directorial debut in this African American gangster drug war movie.
The movie is full of violence and eighties 'black' ghetto music, and a simple story of drugs, and a cop trying to infiltrate, with an ultimately predictable ending right up to the final gun shot!
The movie features a host of African American actors, apart from Van Peebles himself there is Wesley Snipes, Ice-T, Bill Nunn, a young Chris Rock and the token 'white guy' Judd Nelson.
For the action fan there was something there, for me it was pretty forgettable and did not draw you in to become really involved with it.
