A friend of mine has a methodology with many movies, he calls it having low expectations.
He believes if you go into the movie with low expectations, quite often you will be pleasantly surprised.
This does not always work, and he would agree, but in this case low expectations quite worked a treat.
This was an overtly predictable romantic comedy, which reminded me of the Tim Allen/Kirsty Alley movie For Richer or Poorer.
Anyway the basic thesis is separated New Yorker couple have dinner together see a murder are witnesses and get put in witness protection program and sent to Ray, Wyoming.
It is a fish out of water, finding romance again comedy from their with predictable humour and results.
Hugh Grant does Hugh Grant, Sarah Jessica Parker does her normal thing, and I still can't seem to find her attractive. Sam Elliott is great and Mary Steenburgen gives good support.
Kim Shaw is good as the scene stealer in this one.
Overall a silly predictable romantic comedy which is pretty forgettable but certainly not the worst movie I have seen.
