Harry Carey stars as gambler Peter Marlin who solves his brother's murder, captures a smuggling ring, and solves other associated crimes as well.
The movie feels really creaky and all of its seventy eight years of age, with some of those people walking and riding horses at really fast speeds due to the film.
Some of the acting is way over the top and really ordinary, again revealing its age, as some of the actors from the silent era are still coming to grips with the difference in acting in a sound movie.
Harry Carey is quietly effective in his almost anti-hero hero role, even though he has a strange outfit on.
Overall an entertaining yarn and a good old fashioned western.
My rating = 6 out of 10.
