The Duke - John Wayne exits stage left with his last ever film role.

The movie also features Ron Howard, Jimmy Stewart, and Lauren Bacall.
It is the story of an aging gunfighter dying of cancer who wants to go out with as little as pain as possible,
Three years later John Wayne would be dead also of cancer.
There were some poignant moments here, none more than the opening scenes showing John Wayne's character going from boy to old man, but for us, the viewers it is showing John Wayne, the young cowboy to his now aged self.
This was a good solid movie, nothing spectacular, and possibly made better by the memories of Wayne in his farewell performance.
