Alan Rickman stars in this mix of comedy, crime and drama, as an arrogant professor who wins Nobel Prize for chemistry.
His son is kidnapped and the prize money is demanded as ransom.
That is just the beginning in story with twists and turns and a final act which has a caper feel to it.
The movie also features Bill Pullman, Mary Steenburgen, Danny DeVito, Ted Danson, and Eliza Dushku in its big name cast.
The biggest problem is not having much empathy for the characters.
Overall an average movie which is pretty forgettable, but with a somewhat memorable ending.
Alan Rickman = 23/35.
My rating = 6/10.
