Early John Wayne Western sees him as a Marshall going undercover in Rainbow Valley to help the locals fight a gang who are trying to prevent a road being built through the valley.
it turns out the gang wants to have the land in the valley go down in price buy it all and then build the road - those varmints!!
John Wayne with the assistance of George 'Gabby' Hayes as one of the locals, the mail man in fact, with one of those new fancy horseless carriages! saves the day and wins the girl, the self described 'post-mistress' played by Lucile Browne, an actress from the thirties and forties who was in many 'B' films.
The bad guy was played by a bloke by the name of Jay Wilsey who for some reason was credited as Buffalo Bill Jr!
Anyway the film transfer was very ordinary on a cheap DVD, and it was a very average story.
Nothing too special but quite interesting to see from the point of view of history.
John Wayne = 29/164.
George 'Gabby' Hayes = 16/190.
My rating = 5/10.
